If you don’t show up for any flight on which you’re booked, all other flights in that reservation will automatically be canceled.
If they manually cancel those segments, then the return will still be there for you when you try to fly home.
Keep in mind, they won’t just do this because you want them to for any reason.
What happens if you don’t show up for a return flight?
In general, being an airline no-show for a ticketed airline flight means a traveler will lose any value on the ticket. In addition, with some fares, changing the return flight before departure means recalculating the fare for the ENTIRE ticket, even if travelers don’t change the outbound.
Do you get charged for not showing up for a flight?
It may vary by airline, but in most cases, if you no-show for any part of the trip, all subsequent flights on that reservation are cancelled and the ticket value is lost. Most cases has to be read as: almost all cases (I don’t know of any differences, so I even should say: in every case).
Can I use my return ticket if I missed my flight?
If your flights are part of a complete round trip purchased on a single itinerary/airline, then the answer is no, since the first flight/airline will automatically cancel your itinerary after you miss the first flight. In some cases they may be able to even confirm you on the next flight.
What is no show fee?
Basically, airlines charge you whenever they have the chance. So when you didn’t show up on the flight you booked and want to get a refund, airlines normally charge you a no show fee, because you just blocked the airlines to sell the seat to any potential customer who could pay a higher fare than you.
